Fine Motor Skills

Carter has been grabbing at our food for a long time now so a couple weeks ago I decided to try him with finger foods. I bought him some puffs and he looooves them. Mama loves them too because they are the PERFECT thing to keep him quiet in church during prayer!

It is so fun to see him learn. When I first gave him the puffs he would grab it with his fist and would thus be unable to get it in his mouth. Then slowly he learned how to grab the puffs with his finger and thumb. He is so smart!! A couple times when he cannot get it with one hand, he takes the other and tries.

I of course had to get some video of his awesome fine motor skills.



Can you tell I'm a little proud of him? I love the way he opens his mouth before he even has the puff in his hand.

He is such a good eater. We have tried several different foods - his favorite veggies are peas, carrots and squash. He loves all the fruits we have tried! Next on the menu is avocado. Although I'm pretty sure he'd rather have whatever we are
