Monkey!

I actually have a good excuse why you haven't heard from me in a week. I've been sick and have barely been able to lift Carter, much less have the energy to post! But I'm feeling much better now and thought I'd catch y'all up!

I am convinced that we are going to be in for it when Carter starts to walk. He wants to climb on everything (and everyone). He isn't content to sit anymore and is always wanting to stand.

The other day he was playing with of us his toys (standing up next to it) and the proceeded to hurl his body over top of it, doing a flip. LUCKILY I was right there and was able to catch him before he hit the floor. The kid has no fear.

He's still getting the hang of crawling. I had a video that I was going to post of his attempts...but it's not working right now.

He'd much rather be walking with whoever is willing to hold his hands, though. Just the other day he was a walking machine and was exploring every inch of the house. Of course his most interest was in the electrical plugs. Guess it's time to start babyproofing!

We've had a great family weekend and have been hanging out around the house and running errands. We got little man's Halloween costume yesterday - it is soooo cute! We had to lower Carter's mattress on his crib since he has now discovered how to sit up and then pull up. I didn't want to risk him trying to see if he could fly, so down it went!

I will close with a funny picture (sorry it's been mostly words!). Carter was drinking his juice and using all four of his appendages to hold his sippie cup. Such a silly boy!!

Go Carter with that sippy cup! Man, I wish Mason would take to his sippy that way. Sounds like Carter and MAosnwould have bene great "dare devil" friends. Maosn hurls himself off of the sofa and luckily, so far, I always catch him.
