Tricks!

These videos were taken MONTHS ago, but I thought they were cute enough to share on the blog!

I always thought it was funny that toys for infants would have a "Spanish" option on them - like a 6 month old would care how you say certain things in Spanish. Well, Levi could care less, but Carter has picked up on the Spanish words that Levi's exersaucer says.

I think my mom's goal in life to to teach Levi all of his tricks. It seems like every Thursday I go to pick the boys up after work, Levi has a new trick. A couple months ago, she had successfully taught him how to clap. He is a pro at it now, but I love how he has one hand straigh and the other one balled into a fist.

Carter is THREE!

I cannot believe my baby is THREE! We celebrated his birthday with some of Carter's favorite people a few days before his actual birthday. He requested a "wace car" theme, so that is what we went with!

Goody bags for his friends!
We had his party in the morning, so we served brunch. It was super easy and yummy!

The birthday boy ready for his friends to arrive!

Greeting at the door!

The men taking over the kitchen - close to the coffee and food. Typical :)

After everyone was there, we started with our activity - race car painting!

It was a little messy, but I think the kids enjoyed it!

What kid doesn't enjoy eating a cupcake before lunch?!

Levi was sleeping during most of the party, but he woke up just in time to watch his big brother open presents.

Carter was so excited to have all of his friends at his house to play with him for the afternoon - oh, and I'm pretty sure he enjoyed all the presents as well! It was a great day celebrating our little guy!

Carter, I am so proud of you and SO blessed to be your Mommy. Thank you for being the sweetest, funniest, craziest boy I could ever ask for! I love you so much!

Halloween 2011

Nothing like posting about Halloween in JANUARY. Whoops! Holidays/Birthday party planning got the best of me.

BUT, better late than never, right? Here are my sweet boys ready to head to the Harvest Festival at church!
This NEVER happens - both of them smiling?! What?!Ready to have some fun! This was before Levi had a complete and total meltdown over the noise and commotion. He was a little out of his element, and cried the saddest/panicy cry ever. Thankfully it was short lived!Carter in his beloved bounce house. I swear we just need to purchase one of these. Totally obsessed.Gigi came to join in on the fun/help me wrangle the boys! Daddy was doing the cake auction for most of the night, so I was a single parent! So thankful for familial help!

Carter showing off his throwing skills! Roller coaster time!

Love this picture! He was having a blast!!

Me and my boys on the hayride! A couple of cheesy smiles - Levi was sneakily trying to snatch a cupcake off the table!

The loot!

The boys had a great time! Can't wait for next year!

Halloween Portraits

Here is a little sneak peek of my boys in their Halloween costumes! Carter randomly mentioned one day that he wanted to be a pine cone. Because I wanted the boys to coordinate (while I still have the chance!), I decided that Levi would be an acorn.

More to come on our trip to the Harvest Festival at church!

The Fair!

Our annual trip to the fair was a much anticipated day! We went with the Thompsons and Martins, as is our custom. Levi stayed with my Mom as we went during his nap time, and I figured it wouldn't be that much fun for him anyway. Carter and Graham were rather excited to see each other! They were ready to ride!! Unfortunately, they are both still too short (only an INCH) for a lot of the rides, but there was still a good amount of stuff for them to ride.

Sweet Hudson watched most of the festivities!

But he got his turn on a ride with the boys! This was a favorite ride last year.
I'm not sure what this face is all about! Haha! He was having a good time.
Next up a ride with Mommy on the carousel!

This was Aisley's first ride! While we were on the carousel, Carter kept saying that he wanted to ride the caterpillar. I didn't see a caterpillar ride anywhere until we got off. Then I saw it...it was a roller coaster! I was amazed that he even wanted to ride it, but figured he was too short.

But as you can see, he was NOT too short, and even after seeing the ride up close, my brave boy wanted to ride his first roller coaster.
I was worried that he might get scared, but he LOVED it and asked to ride it again! So glad to know that my boy likes rides like me and Corbin! Hopefully Levi will be the same way.
We stopped for lunch and Carter got to enjoy a corndog while the rest of us munched on the fabulous fair food. I won't even go into how much that stuff cost, but it was worth it and soooo good!
Carter enjoyed looking at all of the animals! These little chicks were on sale for only $4. I couldn't convince Corbin to buy me one.

Here is this year's sand sculpture. It's the best one I've seen! (It's the South Carolina state house for those who aren't from here!)
As we were headed to leave, Carter said he wanted some ice cream. It was a special day, so we decided to get him one even though we had ALL eaten enough junk! He ate it (with some help from me) on the way home. I think it's safe to say that he enjoyed it!
And it's also safe to say that the massive amount of sugar intake had no affect on the fact that he was WORN OUT! Poor little guy!
We had a great time and I am excited for next year so all of our family can go!
