The Fair!

Our annual trip to the fair was a much anticipated day! We went with the Thompsons and Martins, as is our custom. Levi stayed with my Mom as we went during his nap time, and I figured it wouldn't be that much fun for him anyway. Carter and Graham were rather excited to see each other! They were ready to ride!! Unfortunately, they are both still too short (only an INCH) for a lot of the rides, but there was still a good amount of stuff for them to ride.

Sweet Hudson watched most of the festivities!

But he got his turn on a ride with the boys! This was a favorite ride last year.
I'm not sure what this face is all about! Haha! He was having a good time.
Next up a ride with Mommy on the carousel!

This was Aisley's first ride! While we were on the carousel, Carter kept saying that he wanted to ride the caterpillar. I didn't see a caterpillar ride anywhere until we got off. Then I saw it...it was a roller coaster! I was amazed that he even wanted to ride it, but figured he was too short.

But as you can see, he was NOT too short, and even after seeing the ride up close, my brave boy wanted to ride his first roller coaster.
I was worried that he might get scared, but he LOVED it and asked to ride it again! So glad to know that my boy likes rides like me and Corbin! Hopefully Levi will be the same way.
We stopped for lunch and Carter got to enjoy a corndog while the rest of us munched on the fabulous fair food. I won't even go into how much that stuff cost, but it was worth it and soooo good!
Carter enjoyed looking at all of the animals! These little chicks were on sale for only $4. I couldn't convince Corbin to buy me one.

Here is this year's sand sculpture. It's the best one I've seen! (It's the South Carolina state house for those who aren't from here!)
As we were headed to leave, Carter said he wanted some ice cream. It was a special day, so we decided to get him one even though we had ALL eaten enough junk! He ate it (with some help from me) on the way home. I think it's safe to say that he enjoyed it!
And it's also safe to say that the massive amount of sugar intake had no affect on the fact that he was WORN OUT! Poor little guy!
We had a great time and I am excited for next year so all of our family can go!
