I really cannot believe that I am 19 weeks already - time seems to be flying by now as we get more and more excited. I had a good checkup yesterday with the doctor describing everything as "perfect". I gained 5 pounds in 5 weeks (even though I ate like crap last week and didn't exercise) and Baby C has a nice strong heartbeat. When the doctor was feeling my uterus (pushing and poking rather hard) as soon as she let go, the baby did a huge flip. I guess Baby C does not like to be disturbed. Since everything is going so well she said for me not to come back for 5 weeks instead of the normal 4.
I do of course have to go back on Tuesday for my ultrasound!!! Less than a week!! Everyone pray that Baby C is not modest and will open his/her legs so we can get a clear shot! Based on the following "research", this is what Baby C might be:
Chinese Calendar: Boy
Ring on a String: Girl
My dreams: One Boy, One Girl
Corbin's dreams: Boy
So that basically gives us no answers. And for everyone out there wondering what we want - we don't care! Although I think that it might be a boy, I really don't care one way or the other.

Almost 18 weeks...
We will be leaving this afternoon for Tennessee, so I wanted to update real quick.
This weekend we were able to clean out Baby C's closet. It once housed Corbin's work clothes and random tools and other man stuff, but it now is full of diapers and a few onesies! It felt sooo good to get that done. Now we just have to work on figuring out what to do with the furniture (a bed, nightstand and dresser). I would love to have our baby furniture and bedding picked out by the end of August. Lofty goal, I'm sure.
I also went shopping for some maternity clothes. I ended up only getting 2 dresses, a shirt, and a blazer. Okay, so the shirt and the blazer aren't exactly maternity, but they were super cute and on sale! I simply could not pass up a $90 blazer for $3.88. Seriously! That's what I get for shopping with non-pregnant people.
Okay, my belly pic kinda scares me, but enjoy...

I didn't realize how big I was until I saw this. Farewell flat stomach! See you in the spring!

17 weeks
Time seems to be going by a bit faster now, and for that I am grateful! Less than 2 weeks until my next appointment and less than 3 weeks until my ultrasound! Next week will go by fast too because Corbin and I will be going to camp with the teens from our church.
I still don't know if I have felt the baby move or not. I probably have, but I'm not certain. I am definitely getting bigger, so Baby C is growing away! I just got back from Target, but still no luck on maternity clothes. They do have so many cute shoes though, but I restrained myself.
Last night Corbin and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary. He took me out to a very nice dinner at Blue Marlin (mmm crabcakes) and then we went to Nonnah's for dessert. It's hard to believe that this time next year we will have a 7 month old! We can't wait!
One way I have been passing the time is by researching strollers, car seats, high chairs, etc. There is just SO much out there. My goal is to know what I am going to register for by the time I register. Babies R Us is such an overwhelming place. I'm sure it will be best to have a plan.
I will probably post again on Monday with my 18 week picture since we will be out of town Tuesday - Friday.

16 weeks and Maternity Clothes
Well, I've made it to 16 weeks rather successfully. Still feeling good but experiencing some growing pains in my stomach. Yes folks, I am growing. Everyone at church on Sunday made quite a big deal about it and I got to deal with my first belly rubs. I'll just not comment on that! :)
With growing comes clothes that no longer fit me. I had a slight emotional meltdown last night when I was trying on my clothes and realizing that my regular clothes were too small, and my maternity clothes (donated ones) were too big. Don't judge me - it's the hormones! I ordered some maternity shorts/jeans from Ann Taylor LOFT and they are too big and non-returnable, so that was the last straw.
Here is the little belly that is causing all my wardrobe troubles:

I can't believe I am only a month away from being halfway there and from knowing if we're having a boy or girl (27 days to be exact...not that I'm counting). I am ready to start the nursery and and buy gender specific things! Looks like most people think I'm having a boy.

15 weeks!
I can't believe I am already 15 weeks. I still have days where I don't even feel pregnant which is annoying because I would like to at least feel pregnant since I don't really look pregnant. I haven't made the transition into maternity clothes yet, but I know it is coming because I have had to put away several things because they were too tight.
I have been busy making a to-do list of things I would like to get done in the next month, before we find out the sex. We really need to get the nursery cleaned out so as soon as we know what we are having we can start decorating! I have also been bothering Corbin with baby names, but we have yet to nail anything down. We have several prospects though, so hopefully we will have definitive boy/girl names by August 12.
I am feeling pretty good - just dealing with some random back pains and twinges here and there. I have also developed a food aversion to peanut butter. Cannot even think about the stuff without feeling sick. Gross.
Still waiting to feel the baby move - I thought I felt it on Saturday, but I could have been imagining it. Based on my research, I should feel something in the next few weeks!

14 weeks!
I cannot believe that I am 14 weeks - that is 6 weeks away from the half-way point. Although, probably less because my doctor is convinced that I am going to have this baby early. Her words to me "You realize you are going to have this baby before December 31st, right?" No complaints here!
An update on the baby for this week:
This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little one's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.
I wasn't even going to bother with a belly picture this week until I noticed the difference from a few weeks ago. The left picture is 10 weeks, the right is from this morning. Crazy!:

Sorry if the formatting is a little funky.
We are still excited and feel extremely blessed that everything is going so well. God is certainly taking care of us!

It's a.......baby!
My appointment went well this morning. The ultrasound showed a very healthy baby (insert gender here) with a strong heartrate of 159. The ultrasound tech refused to guess as to the sex, so we have to wait until August 12 to find out. It will be a loooonnng 6 weeks! It was so fun to watch Baby C wiggle and wave at us - definitely an active baby! His/her little hands and feet were going crazy! They also did a preliminary test for down's syndrome and there were no red flags, so that is good.
We got some good pictures of our little one. The first one is my personal favorite:

Yes, I realize the last one kinda looks like an alien! I promise we're having a human baby.
As for me, I have gained 1 pound. They say you are supposed to gain 2 - 5 in the first trimester, so I'm not too far behind the curve. My only complaint right now is back pain which is leading to lack of sleep, but my doctor gave me some remedies for that, so we'll see if they work!
My next check up is August 5th.
