1, 3, 6...
I've been working with Carter on counting for the longest time. He clearly has numbers he prefers:
Counting from Megan Crittenden on Vimeo.
EVERY now and then he will say "1, 2, 3" but those time are very rare! Oh well, I guess we can't expect too much from a 21 month old!
**Update! I made this post about 2 weeks ago and never posted it. Carter can now count 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Fun in Florida: Part 3
Nicole and I managed to talk the guys into taking us golfing while we were in Florida. We only played for 9 holes and let the guys enjoy the last 9 holes without the pressure of 2 pretty awesome female golfers on their heels.
We had a great trip and are so glad we got the opportunity to go! Thanks for hosting us Phil and Nicole!

13 weeks!
I probably won't do a weekly post on the new baby every week, but I saw this done on some other blogs and thought I'd try it too!
No belly pic this time. Though I'm not huge yet, I am definitely bigger now than I was at 13 weeks with Carter! And already in some maternity clothes! Ay yi yi!
I'm 13 weeks!
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 13 Weeks
Size of baby: 3 inches!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Not exactly sure, but I would guess 1 to 2 pounds. I will find out at my appointment on Monday!
Maternity Clothes: Some of my jeans don't fit me, so I am wearing maternity jeans from time to time, but most of the time I just keep my top button unbuttoned. I REALLY need to invest in some maternity dress pants for work!
Gender: Can't wait to find out! I have a hunch, but I'm not going to publish it for fear that I might be wrong!
Movement: I have moments where I think I feel movement, but nothing definite yet.
Sleep: Okay. I get up to use the bathroom at least once a night and my back pain makes it hard for me to get comfortable. But I've been going to bed crazy early, so I'm getting plenty of rest!
What I miss: Being able to sit in one position for a long period of time!
Cravings: Junk. Fast food, milkshakes, you name it!
Symptoms: I'm not nearly as tired as I was at the beginning and I only feel sick every couple of days! My back is my biggest complaint - I had the same problem with Carter but it didn't start until about 30 weeks or so. I walk like an old woman sometimes.
Best Moment this week: Going to visit my friend Lisa's new baby Aisley (born Thursday). Made me SO excited to have a newborn again!

Fun in Florida: Part 2
Phillip and Nicole were gracious enough to let us borrow their extra carseat while we were in town so we didn't have to lug it onto the plane. Carter enjoyed his first experience facing forward! He just kicked back and enjoyed the ride!
We hit up the pool one afternoon. Baylie and Brenna are so good in the water! I wish we had easy access to a pool so Carter could learn how to swim!
To prevent boredom, Nicole and I found a $5 slip-n-slide that we hoped would bring some entertainment to the children. Thank goodness it did!
Carter thoroughly enjoys hanging out with his cousins. It's been 2 months since we've seen them and he still regularly asks for Brenna or Baylie. The other week he was asking me where we were going "Where goin? Bwenna's house?"
Up next - Golfing and Goodbyes!

Fun in Florida: Part 1
Corbin's cousin got married in July in Florida. Since his brother lives about 45 mins from where the wedding was, we decided to stay with them and spend some of our vacation down there!
I was beyond dreading the 8+ hour drive with a toddler, so when we found CHEAP plane tickets I was pumped. It didn't take long for me to start to worry about being trapped on a plane with a toddler...thankfully, Carter did great!
There was a slight delay, but that didn't seem to bother Carter too much. He kept pointing out all of the "air-panes".
Once we got on the plane, Carter was immediately entertained by the window. He must have opened and shut the shade for 10 minutes.
Luckily I was prepared with a bag of tricks (toys and snacks) so that boredom would not be an issue.
New Look!
How do you like our new look? My old background was getting on my nerves, and well, since our family is going to be changing I figure our blog should too!
Now, the blog isn't going to be "all about Carter" since, as most of you know, we are expecting another baby in April! We are very excited to say the least! I can't wait to know who is inside of me!!
So this "new" blog will now be all about us as a family. I know, I borrowed the name from a trashy reality television program (I swear I don't watch it). That means from time to time you might have to hear some of my random ramblings - lucky you! But I promise there will still be Carter pictures and stories. LOTS has happened since my last post!
