This was the most frustrating morning I've had in a while - was at the doctor for 2 1/2 hours for a 10 minute exam! I got there at 9:00 and took my lovely glucola beverage. It really wasn't that bad, just basically tasted like an extra sweet orange soda. I then went in an exam room and waited for about 30 minutes when they told me my doctor had been called to L&D - so then they took me to ANOTHER doctor's exam room where I sat and waited again. Then since my hour waiting period was up for my glucola the nurse came and got me to take my blood. I have wonderful veins, so that was no problem. Went BACK to the room and waited 45 more minutes when I decided to poke my head out the door and see what was up - the nurse told me that they just had two "complicated patients" in a row...so the doctor would be in soon. About 15 minutes later the doctor finally came in, apologized, and did her thing.
Carter is doing just fine, although he kept moving away from the doppler when she was trying to get to his heartbeat - he was probably just getting the doctor back since his mommy had to wait so long! That's my boy - revenge!
Oh yeah - and I gained another 5 pounds. Love it.
I now have to see the doctor every 2 weeks. My blood test results should be back by Tuesday!
