7 weeks old!

These past 7 weeks sure have flown by, but I have enjoyed every second I have had with Carter-man! Even the 2 am crying fits! He is growing SO FAST it is making me sad. We are about to transition into size 1 diapers! Another way to tell that he is growing up is how long he has been going between feedings at night. Last night he went 7 1/2 hours!!!! I was soooo excited I could barely go back to sleep after I fed him at 3:30! I got 5 1/2 consecutive hours of sleep and it was fabulous!

Yesterday Carter took his first nap in his crib. I think he liked it as I put him down before he was asleep and he just looked around until he fell asleep. Look how tiny he looks in that big crib:

Carter is smiling more and more these days and at more things - like his toys. He sits in his bouncer in the mornings when I am taking my shower and when I got out of the shower yesterday, this is what he was doing - just a wiggling and a grinning:



One of Corbin and my favorite things to do lately is make up songs with Carter's name in it - or insert his name into real songs. For example, just now I heard Corbin sing along to the TV "Stanley Steamer gets carpets Carter!" haha! I would make fun of him, but I totally do the same thing. I do believe the other day I was teaching him "Carter Abraham has many sons..." Someone's going to have to teach him one day that every song doesn't include his name. The sad thing is, we did it with Buster's name before the baby came along. Seriously.

How could you not make up a stupid song when you have a face like that looking up at you?
