2 weeks old!

Wow - I feel like I was just writing the one week old post! I am happy to report that Carter is GROWING! Today at the pediatrician he weighed 5 lbs 8.5 oz, which means he gained 7.5 ounces in one week and he grew and inch and is now 19 inches! It made my day to know that he is getting enough to eat. I also was excited when the doctor told me that I don't have to wake him up to eat anymore at night! Although I doubt he will even come close to sleeping through the night, it is nice that I don't have to set an alarm to wake me up every 2 hours. It will be interesting to see how long he goes tonight - mostly because he has been sleeping ALL DAY LONG!

The doctor also told us that his color looks good and the jaundice is almost gone. As far as percentiles go, Carter is in the 1st percentile for weight and 2nd for height - just a little guy, but at least he is consistently little!

Carter's church debut was yesterday! He did great and slept like an angel through both services! I did pretty good with all the people hovering and breathing on him - and luckily nobody asked to hold him (because I would have had to be a mean mommy and say no). Unfortunately we couldn't dress him up in any of the super cute little-man outfits we have, because they are still too big.
